Description
While employed at Aguirre Roden Building Systems the same team of Mr. Morgan, Mr. Kellogg and Mr. Meyers were responsible for the construction of this project. This project was a 6 story steel and cold formed frame building with bar joist and deck with lightweight concrete on the upper floors. During construction it was determined that a headwall for the storm drains were left off, we worked with the owners to create a redesigned poured in place headwall and inlet which reduced approximately $30,000 from the cost. Piers were deep shaft large bell piers as the site had been used as a discharge area when the small lake was built and therefore the site was basically silt. Using the large 60” bells we were able to float the slab in lieu of going down so far to rock.
